FMX5 Laboratory Powder/Liquid Mixer

For mixing on a laboratory scale Silverson can now provide customers with the same powder/liquid mixing advantages as larger scale production with the introduction of the FMX5 to the product range. The FMX5 is a laboratory scale version of Silverson’s production scale Flashmix mixers and provides a simple, effective and hygienic means of powder/liquid mixing on a Laboratory scale. It is also able to process higher viscosity mixes. The FMX5 is suitable for small scale manufacturing and R&D work with a typical batch size of up to 10 litres, depending on viscosity. Introducing Viscosity Testing

for Customer Products

Watson-Marlow pumps are designed to pump viscous products with ease but not every customer knows the actual viscosity of their product. Most products are shear-thinning and this can sometimes lead to the misapplication of a pump.

Watson-Marlow now offers viscosity testing on customer supplied samples which will allow us to recommend the perfect products for every application.

We anticipate this program is not to be used for every application, but as a way of engineering to work with our customers when there are questions about the product and which solution should be provided.

The first sample, per customer, will be free of charge. Additional samples can be tested but there will be a charge for each submission. The viscosity information along with application details (desired flow rates, suction and discharge piping length/diameter, temperature, etc.) will ensure that we have properly sized a Watson-Marlow pump for the application.

While we are pleased to offer this testing please be aware that it is usually completed within 1 to 2 weeks, which will add time to the normal quotation process.
